Hi Everyone,

Time to get serious.  Memorizing is the hardest part.  Singing is easy, memorizing notes and words is difficult.  You need to set aside a block of time and drill the hard parts.  Take advantage of down time, (standing in line at the grocery store, on hold for a phone call, stuck in traffic, washing dishes, dusting , etc) and run through a page or two of a song.  Give yourself clues for certain measures (mighty jungle, peaceful village.).  Force yourself to sing for memory against another part on the website.  You will learn a lot that way.  Call up a friend in the chorus and work together.

Jan and Ellie had a wonderful time last Thursday.  Both expressed interest in singing with us.  We will see if that leads to interest in applying for the job.  Both are well qualified and we would love for them to apply.  It was encouraging to hear their complimentary words.  We are a good chorus and its nice to be reminded of that by others especially as we approach our show.  All the more reason to work very hard on memorizing.  It all comes down to knowing the music really well.
