Just learned today (Tuesday) that we will have a visitor this Thursday, another one on the 22nd and a third on the 5th of August.  Very exciting. We need everyone to be at chorus this week to be at our best.  Be on time, wear your name tags and be sure to greet them.  We may even have a fourth visitor. I’m waiting to hear back from her.  I think people are looking for ways to sing together so spread the word. Ask everyone you meet if they like to sing.  This weeks visitor is Susan Cherry.  Met her for the first time on Sunday and mentioned the chorus.  Thats all it took.  I may make some changes in the songs we sing on Thursday because of our visitor but still a good idea to bring Holiday music.

Wasn’t that first rehearsal wonderful.  The chorus sounded absolutely wonderful and I think we have come out of this pandemic even better and stronger than before.  Making those videos really helped everyone , me included.  New Orleans has never sounded so good and Will the Circle was amazing.

Arriving at 6:45 was perfect.  We had time to chat a minute and everyone helped get a chair.  When you come, grab a chair and add it to the  group.  It may not end up being your chair but we’ll have the right number.

I’m looking forward to next Thursday.  Again, I have a surprise or two in store.  We’ll talk about setting up some sectional rehearsals as well.  The Zoom connection worked well for a first try and we can try to tweak it a bit.

We’ll also change some notes at the end of Aquarius so that we can seamlessly move to Let the Sun Shine so bring a pencil.

Find all your holiday music and be sure to bring it.  We always take a few rehearsals in July for our  “Christmas/Hanukkah in July”.  If we want to learn challenging songs for the Holidays, we need to start now.

Enjoy the 4th and I will see you Thursday.
