So many announcements this week.

First order of business is our Sway video.  We need your videos. Many of you  have decided to do your audio as part of your video. I should be able to use your audio from the video but if not, I will let you know. Watch your video before you send it. Is that the image you want on your video? Are you looking at the camera?  Are you smiling?  It’s your video.  You can make it what you want.

I am taking the accessory box off my porch.  If you don’t have your rose and new pin or vest or earrings, you need to get in touch with me or borrow from a chorus member.

Dawes Park in Evanston, September 26 at 12:30

Bring a mask, lunch, water/beverage, lawn chair (there will be a few extras if you don’t have one)

Let Carole M. know that you are coming by returning the invitation she sent or emailing her.  She has fun stuff for us to do and it will be so good to be in person, safely distanced and wearing masks.

If you were not in our 2015 show, I would like to have a picture of you as a child or young adult.  We need a head shot.  You will want to be part of this so send me your picture. (at least a week before the picnic).

Many thanks to those who let me know that they would be willing to sing for Ken Donovan if he needs volunteers.  Obviously not everyone will have a chance but I didn’t want to embarrass anyone so its good to have names.  Ken will be with us next Thursday.  He has been a member of Lyric Opera chorus for over 20 years and teaches privately and at Glenbrook North HS. He is also a good friend and the tenor soloist/section leader at Lake Street Church of Evanston.  Ken will be with us for half hour warmups once in Sept and again in Oct. and Nov.  He plans to build on each session so you don’t want to miss.

What to work on.

We have a new song, Hi Neighbor.  No urgency but it is fun and easy to learn and hopefully will be used when we put a chorus package together.

Holiday music.   In order to get any Holiday video out we need to start our songs now.

Carol of the Bells was the most mentioned song when I asked for suggestions so we will start with that.  Right now you have the sheet music and all of the parts plus a 4 part recording(for practice, to hear how the parts fit together) .The lead and the bass are with a click track and tenor and Bari will soon be updated to a click track recording. We should be able to put this together quickly now that you are so good at making videos!

Harmonizers Board meeting. Sept 21, 7 PM. See Link above

Meetings are open to all chorus members.

Last but not least, if you have nothing else to do, continue to work on Ain’t Misbehavin’, New Orleans, and It don’t mean a thing.

See you Thursday,
