Hi everyone,

Looks as if we all are well and ready to go.  We will be in person (unless I hear otherwise from the church) and will wear masks and be extra careful. Windows will be opened if possible. We are following the protocol of large professional choruses and many smaller church choirs.  If things change, we will adapt. And of course, there is always a Zoom option.

So for this Thursday, we will be in sections in a large circle with at least 4 feet between chairs.  We will be singing into the center of the circle so we will not be singing toward anyone.  No one will be standing behind you.  Masks at all times.  We can do this.

On the agenda are Blue Christmas, Lullaby of the leaves, You’ve got a friend, It don’t mean a thing and Aquarius.  A full night of singing.

If you want to do some housekeeping with your music, here are the songs you should have in your folders.

New Orleans

Lion sleeps tonight

Ain’t misbehavin’

Will the Circle

It don’t mean a thing

Lullaby of the leaves

You’ve got a friend

Blue Christmas

You may want to keep Sway handy if we decide to do an ensemble.

Another new song on the music practice page is Fame but we aren’t working on it at this time.

For those who know the music, memory is the issue.  For new members, just enjoy learning the music.  There is plenty of time before our next show to “catch up”.

For those who knew Wanda O’Rourke and wish to send a sympathy card to the family, here is the only address I have on file. 1600 Center Rd, Apt 224, Venice,  Florida, 34292.  I believe she was living with her daughter.

See you on Thursday.
