If you were at rehearsal last week you heard about the changes to our upcoming show due to several factors, including concern about Covid in the fall and the news that Rosie is moving to Pittsburg to begin a new life centering around her grandchild.  We are excited for her but she will be missed.

In light of that, we have decided to lighten the load for our show by not selling tickets!  There was a big sigh of relief from many when that was announced.  We will be  collecting booster contributions and pushing donations at the show.  We will be fine.

Along those lines, a reminder that we will again ask chorus members if they would like to “sponsor “ a particular song.  That means for $50 dollars you can claim that song and it will be noted in the show booklet .  You can do this through the donate button on the website. Just make sure you list the song you want to sponsor in the comment line.  I’m going to sponsor Lullaby of the leaves  since I made a special request to the show committee to add this song.  But others can sponsor Leaves as well.  More than one person can sponsor a song.

One other accommodation needs to be made.  Two people on a part is not ideal. Suppose one gets sick (Covid) or something else pops up.  Plus, vocally it is difficult.  I’m looking for leads who feel they might be able to sing tenor in  one song .  Monday , Monday and I’t don’t mean a thing are the most difficult and for most of the leads, it would be too high.  But we need tenors on other pieces.  Lou  Ann mentioned Lions as a song that she would like help on.  Especially the lower notes which are not in her best range.  Haven’t spoken with Gina yet.  She may have ideas as well.  So if you might like to learn one song, take a look at the tenor part and let me know what you think. If I don’t hear from you, you just may hear from me.  We will make this work.

Also, I’m going to look at the Fame video again and see if we can get it out to everyone.

Again, it was great to see and hear you all at Lake Street Church.  We have a great recording of it which will be available soon.  Thank you again.

See you Thursday
