Well that was an interesting evening!  It was actually fun and at times very funny and we accomplished a lot.  In less than 50 minutes we made videos of everyone who was there and those on Zoom.  The further into the process, the more humorous  the performances.  A few more videos will be taken at my house on Monday  and then Judy will work her magic.

We are focusing on the memory of Aquarius because we intend to start choreography. Being off the paper is important.  Mid October is our target date.

I also want to continue working on It don’t mean a thing.  We need to OWN this piece and it has to be as perfect as possible.  Lullaby of the leaves is coming along nicely.

It was mentioned Thursday night that we have been asked to sing for the Glencoe tree lighting which is the Friday after Thanksgiving.  This involves being off the paper on about 6 holiday songs that are sung over and over as Santa arrives. Usually they include Jingle Bells, Santa Claus is coming to town, Rudolph, Jingle bell rock , winter wonderland and Let it snow. (Not sure about the last two ).  It is also an event where chorus members blow the pitch and are self directed.  I am not at this event.

If we do it, we would have a few rehearsals at 6:30 to prepare for it.  Let Terry know if you are able to sing that night.  It pays quite well and it all goes to the chorus.  Covid protocol that is in play at that time will be honored.

See you Thursday.
